What I love about this piece is the white lacquer against the black lacquer sun ray motive. I've never seen an art deco piece in white lacquer. It kind of reminded me of Jonathan Adler, it's quirky and fun.

I love how she layered her clothing with different textures, and adding just a pop of color to make the outfit stand out. Just like in fashion the layering of different fabric and texture can be applied to interior design. I imagine this outfit to be translated into the following, with a library chair in a black velvet fabric with brass upholstery tacks, with a mongolian fur throw lay on top of the chair, and to top the look off with a satin orange square pillow with twisted leather straps going across at the front of the pillow.
